Lounges/ Dining room areas:
Henley House over the years has had extensive refurbishment with an extension to the rear which now accommodates an open plan large sitting room/ dining room area. The lounge has patio doors and large windows overlooking an enclosed outside area.
Wellfield has three seperate lounges recently decorated in a more modern and updated style. Wellfield also has a large conservatory which is used as a dining room area. The dining room is a bright and inviting environment for service users to have enjoyable dining experience.

Single/ Ensuite Bedrooms: Henley house comprises of 23 bedrooms (18 ensuite bedrooms) Wellfield comprises of 29 bedrooms (14 ensuite bedrooms and 1 double bedroom) Our bedrooms are fully furnished and contain a single bed, bedside locker, chest of drawers, wardrobe and a comfortable chair. All bedrooms have wash basins and ensuite rooms have seperate toilet and washbasin facilities. There are nurse call points in every room for residents to call for assistance when reqiuired. |
Gardens:
The attractive garden areas are well tended with outside seating areas for the summer months.
New outdoor visiting buildings have been placed at the rear of the homes to provide safe visiting areas to comply with current covid visiting guidance.
Assisted Bathing/ Shower Facilities:
Both Wellfield and Henley have assisted bathing and shower facilities which cater for service users needs. These include Parker Baths and shower rooms.

Residential Care:
We are a residential care home so predominantly we provide residential care however we do provide respite and daycare when we can accommodate. Residential care is for people who need assistance and support with their actvities of daily living as they can no longer live independently. The service includes accommodation, meals, personal care, laundry and cleaning.
Respite Care:
Respite care is for the carer and can be accessed via Lancahire County Council or private funding and can be a welcome rest for the carer and a change of scenery for the elderly person.
Daycare:
Daycare enables people to continue to live at home, but to have company and a change of scenery and can join in life in the home for example bathing, hairdressing and activities etc. Many friendships have been made during short stays in the homes.
Additional services:
The care homes also have additional visiting services including a hairdresser, footcare company, optician and clergy of all denominations.
_______ Meals _______
Each home has attractive dining areas, with varied menus, good home cooked food and enjoying fresh local produce. Individual tastes are taken into consideration and special diets are catered for. We also work closely with the dietetic and SALT departments where required.
_______Activities________
Entertainment and activities are organised on a regular basis. We have an activity co-ordinator employed in both homes who organise activities each day. External events and entertainers are also organised regularly.
Visiting:
During the covid pandemic and restriction on face to face visits we have arranged for facetime and skype visits to enable families to keep in touch with their loved ones. Current guidance allows window visits. Normally families are encouraged to visit regularly.
_______Health and Wellbeing________
Where possible all residents retain their own GP for continuity of care. The district nursing service attend when required and there are over 75's nursing services who attend regularly to review aspects of your loved ones health. We also work closely with the integrated therapy team involving physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians and SALT teams to maximise health potential.
